NCT is a registered UK charity (no. 801395). We charge for our antenatal and postnatal courses in order to pay the expenses of running the course.

"Like many mums-to-be, I was nervous about having my first child. As well as getting through the labour, I was apprehensive about life with a child and experiencing loneliness whilst on maternity leave. The NCT antenatal class addressed all these fears in a straightforward, non-embarrassing way (to the relief of my husband!). We learnt in detail about what to expect and I was relieved to find that all the other mums had exactly the same concerns as me. My son Joseph is now four months old and all the mums and babies meet weekly - I've got a great network of new friends." Catherine, Haringey branch

Course Prices

NCT courses are priced per hour, and the hourly rate depends on:

  • The number of hours in the course (1)
  • If the course is for one person or for two people per booking
  • The price band of the location of the course
  • Whether the sessions are in the daytime or evening and weekend

(1) Some courses have additional sessions than those listed on the course description, for example a course may include a breastfeeding session and/or reunion. These additional sessions are included when calculating the course length and price.

Optional membrship is added to the course price. Please inform your booking administrator if you are already a member, have previously been a member, or don’t want to join at the time of your booking.

There are reduced price options with up to 90% off the full price for those on low income or certain benefits. Please ask your booking administrator for more details. You can also pay for your course in instalments.

If you need confirmation of the price please contact the booking administrator. The best way of doing this is to find a course using the course finder, and complete the form to register your interest in a course.

"What I really appreciated is that most courses look at how to be a better mum through focusing on the baby, while the NCT looks at what it means to be a parent. The course provided a safe space to talk about anything that was on my mind. Nothing we said was rejected. It was also a great opportunity to get used to breastfeeding in public as everyone has their baby with them."
